Serving Montreal patrons and tourists since 1983, the Restaurant du Vieux Port has become an Old Montreal institution, truly deserving of the reputation as “Old Montreal’s Most Popular Restaurant”. Only a few steps from the Old Port of Montreal and Place Jacques-Cartier, the Restaurant du Vieux Port welcomes you in a historic Old Montreal building, dating back to 1880, which originally served as an Inn for the sailors who visited this important commercial harbour. All the charm of those old stone walls has been preserved in our eight magnificent dining rooms, creating a simply breathtaking atmosphere.

Our experienced and knowledgeable personnel caters to the every need of our guests. Outgoing, smiling, welcoming, with a genuine desire to please, members of the Restaurant du Vieux Port family have a service style that’s unique and famous.

Our seafood, fresh fish, lobster, and steaks are sure to please even the most demanding. We use the finest Alberta Beef, aged to perfection and served to your liking, Fresh Lobster from Nova Scotia, Iceland Scampi, the best in the World, and only the freshest Quebec fine herbs and produce. You can also choose from a great selection of fine wines and premiums, such as vintage Ports, fine Cognacs and single malt Scotches.
