    Bill Viola : Naissance à rebours


    With a career now spanning forty years, Bill Viola is recognized internationally as one of the most important artists of our time. His work across single channel video, video installation, sound environments, electronic music performances, and broadcast television deeply examines the universal themes of life, death, the unfolding of consciousness, the spirit, and human connection.

    The Pastel Society of Eastern Canada is presenting their biannual international Exhibition of a hundred art works selected by jury. Daily activities: Pastel demonstrations by artists and guided tours. The prize winners will be disclosed during the vernissage.

    Kristallnacht Commemoration

    Montreal Holocaust Museum, 5151 ch. de la Cote Ste-Catherine

    Join Montreal Holocaust Survivors and other community members to commemorate Kristallnacht, the pogrom organised by the Nazis on November 9 and 10, 1938. It marked the intensification of a regime of terror against the Jews of the Third Reich, and was met with total indifference from the international community.

    Faithful to its mission of showcasing Montreal’s coolest creations, Souk@Sat is reuniting once-again as every year, in November, under the same roof, over sixty local artists. The entire SAT space will be transformed into an immense loft filled with a multitude of Montreal’s contemporary creations, original, stylish and well-thought-of gifts in a vivid atmosphere.

    The event has provided a warm and friendly environment where designers have the chance to meet and greet visitors interested in buying their original creations. Furthermore, this initiative contributes to make the general public aware of the strength and originality of Quebec design.
